The function simulates short circuits, for different locations, types and with an arc resistance of zero Ohm.
For cables, short circuits are made every 100 meters.
The analysis focuses on the primary results per fault. During the tripping sequence, the analysis looks at:
•Which protections switch off at what time
•Thermal load of branches (I²t)
•Current of branches after completion
The analysis reports on problems:
•Short circuit not tripped
•Small margin of protection
•No selectivity
•Overload
