Vision Network Analysis
Planning, design and control of transport, distribution and industrial grids
Gaia LV Network Design is a program for planning, designing and evaluation distribution, and industrial low-voltage grids. Gaia LV Network Design makes it easy to determine the voltage management, system load and the earthing/contact safety of the grid.
In the coming years, analyses in low-voltage grids will play an increasingly important role due to the decentralisation of generation and changing user profiles. Gaia LV Network Design gives the user all the tools to facilitate the energy transition through its user-friendliness, functionalities and visualization. A new advanced modular load model enables them to easily determine how future-proof their low-voltage grids are.
Calculating the low-voltage grids loads during and after the energy transition with a completely new modular load model.
One of the starting points in the development of Gaia LV Network Design was to guarantee safety in both TT and TN earthed grids.
In order to be able to calculate asymmetrical loads and short-circuits, Phase to Phase has developed a unique nine-conductor load flow.
With Vision Grid Vision Grid NavigatorNavigator you can switch between schematic and geographical display. The program provides useful insight by linking load flow results from Gaia LV Network Design to GIS data.
Gaia LV Network Design is an integrated program for analysis and design of LV-distribution networks. Interface and functionality have been developed in collaboration with distribution companies and industry. This makes Gaia a unique package for analysis of low-voltage installations.
Because Gaia LV Network Design should be able to be used by both frequent and occasional users, it is very user-friendly. The program is menu-driven and uses an understandable interface, minimizing the risk of errors.
Low-voltage grids are often asymmetrical. Due to the neutral conductor and complex earthing, the application of symmetrical component methods isn’t possible. Gaia LV Network Design uses a unique model in which all conductors including the mutual connections are covered. The total electrical system can be extensively configured due to the many switching possibilities.
Gaia LV Network Design was specifically developed to ensure contact safety in both TT and TN systems. The contact safety module calculates the safety for people in a low voltage network. The safety is determined by the height of the voltage and the timely switching of the short circuit.
With Gaia LV Network Design different aspects of power quality can be analyzed, like voltage variation, voltage asymmetry, voltage dips, grid flicker and harmonic pollution.
The voltage level is calculated using a stochastic load flow, taking into account expected average loads and extremes. The calculation is based on the complete asymmetrical grid.
